Job Description

Role Description

The Production Worker is primarily responsible for fabricating various types and sizes of synthetic rope slings and assemblies. This role will weave and splice snynthetic ropes to create eye-splices, end-to-end splices and other specialty splices. Additionally, this role is responsible for applying protective coatings to finished rope and inspecting rope integrity prior to shipment. This role also supports production operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment; preparing work areas for operation; assembling products and components; and efficiently working on the production line to meet quality and productivity goals.

The ideal candidate must be able to follow detailed shop instructions, accurately use hand tools and measuring devices, and read tape measures with precision. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to all health and safety procedures is essential to success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fabricate products and components according to customer specifications, production guidelines, and WireCo/customer drawings.
  • Operate on the production line while meeting quality standards, production schedules, and on-time delivery requirements.
  • Select and safely use appropriate tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Package and prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Complete reel painting, fitting cleanup, and additional production support tasks as directed.
  • Accurately track and record labor times, production activity, and inventory cycle counts.
  • Report production, safety, equipment, or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements and ISO procedures.
  • Follow all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including workstation and production areas.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Forklift experience
  • Possess strong mathematical abilities
  • Demonstrate strong communication abilities
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs.  
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification
  • Prior manufacturing or fabrication experience

Materials and Equipment Directly Used

  • Standard office equipment including computer, mouse, keyboard, telephone, multifunction copier
  • Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes
  • Uses operational equipment, machinery, hand tools, testing devices, and material handling equipment necessary to perform production, assembly, maintenance, and testing functions safely and effectively.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
