Job Description
As WireCo’s Corporate Internal Communications Specialist, you play a critical role in fostering effective communication within an organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage employees, align them with organizational goals, and facilitate the flow of information across various departments and levels. The Internal Communications Specialist utilizes various communication channels and tools to ensure that key messages are effectively communicated, understood, and embraced by employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute internal communication strategies that align with WireCo Business System, and the company’s overall objectives and culture.
- Identify communication gaps or opportunities, and develop/execute plans to address them effectively.
- Create engaging and relevant content for internal communications: including newsletters, emails, intranet articles, videos, and presentations. Ensuring messaging and branding is consistent across various channels.
- Manage content calendar and schedule to ensure timely delivery of communications.
- Partner with HR Team to implement employee engagement strategies effective internal communications.
- Organize, support and/or facilitate internal events, such as All Hands meeting, Corporate led Off-Site events, or training sessions.
- Manage and optimize internal communication channels, including intranet, newsletter, digital communications/signage. Provide support related to external websites and social media platforms.
- Support change management initiatives by developing comprehensive communication plans to ensure employees are informed about changes within the organization. Ensuring appropriate flow of communication, FAQs, and follow-ups are proactively considered.
- Track and analyze key metrics related to internal communication effectiveness, such as engagement levels, feedback, and participation rates. Use these data-driven insights to refine communication strategies and tactics.
- Build strong relationship with cross-function teams to ensure alignment and consistency in all internal communications.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field with equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in internal communication, corporate communications, or marketing roles, minimum 5 years
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Office Suite, intranet software, and social media management tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to communication
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels within the organization.
- Knowledge of best practices in employee engagement, change management, and internal communication measurement
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus
