Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator will support the WSS Transportation Department within an individual regional distribution center (RDC). In this role, you will oversee daily transportation and logistics operations, while also serving as a key customer-facing contact. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to balance operational efficiency with excellent customer service.
Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
- Manage Waves and Plans for WSS Atlanta RDC.
- Oversee optimization of shipments within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with the RDC leaders and Local Company customers to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
- Analyze and optimize logistical procedures at the RDC.
- Track and trace loads, proactively communicating shipment status to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work with carriers when directly booking loads.
- Notify customers of shipment progress, delays, or changes with professionalism and care.
- Ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
- Monitor shipments for cost, timelines, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve shipment issues promptly, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
- Build trusted long-term partnerships with Local Company presidents by providing consistent, reliable support and resolving outstanding issues.
- Gather and share customer feedback to help enhance both logistics operations and the customer experience.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience working in logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data tables and formulas.
- Prior experience working with a Transportation Management System.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in a logistics or operations environment.
- Grit, resilience, and a self-starter mentality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with MercuryGate.
- WMi, LogPro, or AS400 experience.
