Job Description

The Senior Mortgage Technical Analyst serves as the department's technical subject matter expert, providing leadership and direction on complex mortgage system initiatives and technology solutions. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, from requirements gathering through implementation, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards. As a trusted advisor to leadership, the Senior Technical Analyst plays a key role in shaping strategic technology decisions, identifying opportunities for innovation, and improving operational efficiency. The position leads cross-functional projects, influences stakeholders at all levels, and ensures the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives. In addition to project leadership, this role is deeply committed to developing others-training employees both within and outside the immediate department. The Senior Analyst fosters a culture of continuous improvement by driving process enhancements, promoting best practices, and elevating team performance. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, advanced problem-solving skills to effectively support evolving mortgage operations and deliver scalable, efficient technology solutions and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Essential Functions

  • Technical Leadership - Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for assigned mortgage technology platforms. - Responsible for resolution of high-impact system issues. - Development of technical standards and best practices.
  • Complex Enhancements & Design - Responsible for implementation of complex business rules, integrations, workflows, and system configurations. - Evaluate and define impacts across interconnected mortgage systems to enhance end user experience.
  • Project Leadership - Lead medium-to-large technology initiatives. - Coordinate and lead cross-functional testing and implementation activities across department stakeholders.
  • Training - Provide technical training and support to Analysts and Jr. Analysts. - Provide training and guidance to other Mortgage employees across all Mortgage departments. - Review system changes and provide dual-control approvals.
  • Strategic Planning - Evaluate vendor solutions and emerging technologies. - Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field preferred
  • 4+ years' combined mortgage loan servicing, mortgage loan processing/closing, and/or systems administration / technical experience relevant to mortgage lending systems Required
  • 3+ years must be directly related to systems administration / technical experience relevant to mortgage lending systems Required
  • 1+ year team leader/training or supervisory experience preferred

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to develop system electronic data interfaces for the transmission of data to relevant vendors or internal systems.
  • Excellent technical acumen in relational database design / business intelligence concepts for use in custom report design through Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, and reporting systems inherent to the lending platforms being used.
  • Data management and analysis skills using various import/export/storage/processing systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Real Estate Lending business - terminology and process flow.
  • Strong working knowledge administrating Encompass, FICS Mortgage Servicer and/or related programs.
  • A solid understanding of basic user/group security principles and practices.
  • Ability to prioritize/manage projects and allocate resources effectively across different projects as needed.
  • Excellent coordinating and networking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical, technical problem solving, and mathematical ability.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Excel (including advanced function/formula & pivot table abilities), Word, and Outlook. Data analysis using Microsoft Access is a plus.

Additional Information

PAY RANGE: $34 to $39 per Hour (S15), plus 3% annual target bonus.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
