About Wind:

• Wind is a fintech company building a non-custodial payments app that makes sending and spending anywhere in the world, with near-zero transaction costs, accessible to everyone. Think Robinhood meets Transferwise (and a lot more).
• Traditional payment providers have undue control over users’ money. Users can have their accounts frozen, money locked in, and bear hidden fees. Access to these payment providers is limited which makes cross-border payments not only a hassle but also expensive. 
• Wind will do all the things a traditional payments app does (add money, send/receive, cash-out, debit cards) and add crypto native functionalities like staking, yield, dApps. It is a wallet where you can send, store & invest in 4,000+ crypto assets and earn passive income on your balance by staking or suppling assets in DeFi apps.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Front-End), you’ll be a respected thought leader, a high-productivity engineer, and a role model for other developers in the company and in our community.
You’ll work primarily in our main tech stack of Node.js, Web3.js, Ethereum/Polygon Blockchain, Java, PostgreSQL etc., with a focus on our front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, Redux, and Next.js.

While this is a front-end focused role, all developers are at Wind.App strives to be cross-disciplinary, and you should be comfortable working in other parts of our technology stack.

As a company dedicated to increasing developer knowledge, we’ll give you the resources and support you need to develop mastery in your craft.

Skills and Requirements
We expect to see:

• Extensive programming skills in JavaScript and corresponding front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Redux), in addition to supporting skills in HTML and CSS. You should also be comfortable with server-side rendering technologies, such as Next.js.
• 5+ years of web development experience with modern front-end (JS, HTML, CSS) and any major server-side stack. While we expect the majority of your experience to be front-end focused, we like to see you can work across any part of the stack. Experience in our technology stack is a plus (Node.js, Web3.js, Ethereum/Polygon Blockchain, Java, Android, iOS), but not a requirement.
• A track record of leading and mentoring less experienced developers. You are eager to teach others and invested in the growth of your team.
• Self-motivating, self-directing, and a great communicator (written and oral). You thrive in an environment that grants you a lot of autonomy to explore creative solutions.
• Excellent problem solving skills. You excel at analyzing and solving problems using technology.

We like to see (but not required):

• Experience working remotely and/or working with teams that are distributed geographically.
• An active Stack Overflow profile, open source code, example projects that you’re proud of (whether open source or worked on at a previous job), or any other evidence of your passion for building great software.
• Experience with building high scale, community-based web applications with 6-figure monthly unique visitors or more. Skills working with large amounts of data or utilizing machine intelligence are a plus.

Compensation:

- Competitive cash compensation (BDT 130k - 180k)
