Job Description

Position Summary

The Accounting and Procurement Administrator is primarily responsible for recording the company's financial transactions related to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations and Finance and be a valuable member of the Administration team, assisting colleagues with other administrative tasks as assigned.  

Primary Responsibilities 

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients
  • Process and manage incoming payments
  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments

Accounts Payable

  • Review and process vendor invoices
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills

Payroll

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Handle payroll-related and resolve issues.
  • Other duties to assist colleagues upon request

Qualifications

Education & Training

  • Post-secondary education in accounting

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting administration is preferred.

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online or another accounting system 
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another payroll system
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • High organizational skills with attention to details
  • Strong multi-tasking capability and time management skills
  • Superb communication skills, both verbal and written

Certification/Licenses

  • Bookkeeping or Accounting certification

Environment and Physical

  • Must be located in Ontario
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Be able to sit for prolonged periods
  • No travel required

Location of position

  • Fully remote, must have reliable internet
