As a Salesforce.com Developer 4, you will contribute to the design and implementation of new features and maintenance of existing functionalities. You will be a professional liaison to both IT and cross-functional business groups, helping design and deliver solutions within the Salesforce.com platform. This role will design, develop, and QA solutions, and will partner with architecture team and coordinate complex work assignments.

The successful candidate will be passionate about scalable and extensible software design, test driven development methods, clean and well documented code, well-aligned and forward-looking data architecture, and the power of “the cloud” to provide for unified solutions in a diversified system landscape.
This position requires work coordination skills, as well as the ability to execute, including a deep programmatic knowledge of Salesforce.com, APEX, Visualforce, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XML, Java, and SQL, among others

Responsibilities

• Develop and present solution proposals & recommendations, including analysis of options, justifications, and tradeoffs in your areas of responsibility (CRM (Salesforce, SAP, etc.), sales, marketing, services and support).
• Build relationships with business sponsors, understand requirements, establish trust and dialogue on how to meet those requirements and lead discussions with stakeholders to formulate decisions.
• Envision and drive application architectural design for short term and long-term integration projects and drive technical impact assessments within the Go-to market, CRM, and e-Commerce space.
• Partner with Sr. Development and analyst resources to translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
• Provide deep functional/technical/application guidance to project teams in support of solution design and development while developing solution architectures and roadmaps in conjunction with business process partners and strategy teams.
• Document selection criteria, evaluation and final selection of application solution options with a focus on engagement of all key parties. Emphasis on gaining alignment, sharing keying decisions, impacts and implications.
• Work with other architectural leaders and application owners within IT to support key integration projects and enhancements and ensure end-to-end integrity of solutions.
• Maintain oversight and responsibility for project solution design document (sdd) materials.
• Prototype and Proof-of-Concept innovative technologies within your area of responsibility.
• Lead development of conceptual and architectural solution blueprint for assigned projects to meet business requirements complying with established architectural principles, standards, and processes.
• Provide technical oversight to the team on system interoperability and business process impacts

• Partner with other architecture disciplines to develop reference architectures and best practices.
• Participate on architectural governance team(s) and processes to guide and sanction critical architectural decisions.
• Lead identification of assets or services that can be re-used by the project teams to drive consistency, cost reduction, and increases speed to market within assigned architecture or functional domains.
• Proactively monitor strategic direction of vendors, technology and market trends, and determine their potential impact and value to the customer systems.

​​​​​​Successful candidates for this position will have:

• MUST HAVE experience in coding APEX Triggers, Classes and Test methods, Salesforce.com Web Services APIs using SOAP and REST.
• MUST HAVE 6+ years Salesforce.com development experience, including programming with APEX, Triggers, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and related technologies.
• Broad-based experience in systems architecture and development, with demonstrated experience integrating multiple systems and business processes
• Strong understanding of CRM (Salesforce, SAP), sales, marketing, services, support and CX business process, and strong understanding of challenges, opportunities and industry trends these areas.
• Experience working in a structured release management environment, including change and release management as well as scrum methodologies for managing high volume work requests.
• Experienced with Debugging methods such as Anonymous Code Block execution and working/writing to System and Developer Logs.
• Significant development experience in a SaaS based industry, including business process change management expertise.
• Experienced with source control using GitLab or Perforce.
• Deep domain knowledge of Salesforce.com Security Model, Approval and Custom Workflow creation, as well as Salesforce.com App Distribution Methods.
• 6+ years’ experience with database technologies, including strong knowledge of SQL.
• 6+ years’ experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#.
• 8+ years of experience in application development and design
• Strong scripting experience, ability to script in Ruby, Python, or Perl
• Familiar with CI/CD pipeline concepts and using within a modernized DevOps development lifecycle.

Desired Requirements:

• Prefer candidates that have obtained Salesforce.com certifications
• 6+ years of experience working in hi-tech industry, Cloud based SW company is a plus
• 5+ years of experience working with hosted/cloud applications and integrations to internal systems
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Puppet
• Network troubleshooting experience with layer 2-7 tools (dns, portquery, trace route, ping, telnet, tcpdump, wireshark)
• Experience with virtualized and/or cloud-based solutions for either virtual machines and/or containers
• Experience with project tracking tools like JIRA, HPSM, BMC Remedy or similar
• Experience with automated build/test/deploy and continuous integration tools preferred
