Job Description
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Material Handler to join our team on a night shift pattern. This is a key operational role, focused on keeping materials, parts, and sub‑assemblies flowing accurately and efficiently within the department.
Working closely with the Kitting Coordinator, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring work orders, tooling, and stock are controlled, reported, and moved correctly both physically and systemically. Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver picked parts from stores to the correct work areas within the department
- Align deliveries precisely to timings provided by the Kitting Coordinator
- Ensure all tooling is controlled accurately, both physically and within systems
- Report any tooling damage promptly to enable repair or replacement
- Work closely with Inventory Control to maintain accurate departmental stock at all times
- Support end-of-year archiving in line with company guidelines
- Manage correct physical and electronic movement of stock between locations
- Ensure completed work orders are returned to stores and correctly RAF’d
- Support put-away activities by advising on suitable stock locations
- Consume parts into work orders as instructed by the Kitting Coordinator
- Work to UIIL guidelines at all times, ensuring full compliance
This role operates on a night shift, Monday to Thursday, working 18:15 to 04.45.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a stock-controlled, warehouse, or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of inventory management and stock handling methods
- Comfortable using MS Office and inventory systems particularly excel.
- Experience with D365 or similar logistics software is highly desirable
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
- A genuine team player with a keen eye for detail and a drive for excellence
Experience & Background
- Proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory control roles
- Experience in motorsport, manufacturing, or other high-pressure environments is highly advantageous
- Methodical, reliable, and able to work independently during night shifts
