Job Description
We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our Technology and Innovation Group (TIG) to take responsibility for driving agile excellence across software, data, AI, and infrastructure squads within Atlassian Williams Racing. You will facilitate smooth sprint and Kanban processes, ensure alignment with strategic OKRs, and promote continuous improvement through retrospectives.
The role is pivotal in ensuring the teams adopt and follow the Scrum framework, all while continuously improving and achieving multiple project goals.
Main responsibilities:
Lead and coach cross-functional squads (Software, Data, AI, Infrastructure) using Sprint and Kanban methodologies
Partner with Product Owners to define and track OKRs, ensuring alignment with the team’s goals and Atlassian Williams Racing performance outcomes
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies - stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives - to drive collaboration and continuous improvement
Identify and remove impediments quickly, fostering an environment that supports high-quality deliverables and innovation
Champion Agile principles, coaching teams on best practices to maintain velocity, predictability, and transparency
Ensure the team follows Scrum principles and practices
Coach the team on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks, while promoting a collaborative and transparent team environment
Liaise with stakeholders to improve visibility and clarity about the team's work
Leverage Agile tools to encourage and support continuous learning and improvement within the team
Resolve conflicts within the team and promote constructive disagreement.
Skills and experience required:
Proven experience as a Scrum Master working with cross-functional technical teams
Familiarity with Kanban, OKRs, and Agile frameworks in fast-paced, data-centric environments
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach at all levels of the organization
Passion for motorsports and/or experience in high-performance industries is a plus
Knowledge or strong familiarity software development
Experience working in a development team
Exceptional skills in people and project management
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude
Outstanding organizational abilities
