WildBrain is offering an amazing internship opportunity for a student to gain experience working on our FAST and AVOD channel operations.
The intern will support the creation, packaging, and delivery of on-channel creative assets across FAST and AVOD platforms. This role is focused on short-form video production, graphic packaging, and channel support materials to enhance viewer engagement and brand consistency.
- You will work closely with the marketing team gaining hands-on experience in broadcast-style promo production.
- You will build experience working within brand and narrative guidelines.
- You’ll get to work cross-functionally, collaborating with marketing, scheduling, and operations teams.
- This placement will give you valuable industry experience and insight into the operations of a successful international business.
The ideal candidate has strong editing fundamentals, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop), and an interest in digital broadcast environments.
Job Description
On-Channel Video Production
- Produce 30-second evergreen promo videos (with 15-second cutdowns) for FAST and AVOD channels, following established narrative and brand guidelines.
- Create bespoke 30-second promos to support channel stunts and AVOD programming initiatives.
- Cut down existing long-form trailers into 30-second promotional versions.
- Pull 15- and 30-second episodic clips to support autoplay banners and platform placements.
- Support creation of branded “rescue footage” (loopable animated clips used during on-air disruptions).
Promo Packaging & Motion Graphics
- Package 30 and 15-second promo assets using approved After Effects graphics toolkits.
- Ensure all deliverables meet platform specifications and brand standards.
- Maintain organized project files and version control for all creative assets.
On-Channel Creative Asset Support
- Support development and updates of:
- Channel Bugs
- Ad Slates
- “Coming Up” and “Now Back” bumpers
- Stunt bumpers and promotional interstitials
- Lower thirds etc
- Design and deliver monthly stunt banners using Photoshop.
- Create themed curation support images for AVOD and FAST platforms.
Channel Operations Support
- Assist in organizing and delivering creative assets to internal teams.
- Ensure assets are exported correctly and adhere to technical specifications.
- Support troubleshooting of creative-related delivery issues when required.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program training or hands-on experience in Film, Media Production, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of short-form storytelling and pacing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple creative tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in AVOD, FAST channels, and digital content distribution.

Total Rewards
At WildBrain, we strive for equitable and consistent pay practices within a robust total rewards framework. Compensation may vary within the same role based on experience, performance, specialized expertise, and overall impact.
Compensation: $20-22 CAD, per hour
