About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to join WildBrain's centralized MarCom team on a 14 month maternity leave cover, based in Toronto. This role supports all business units to deliver trade marketing initiatives including events, trade-facing ad campaigns (e.g. B2B ad campaigns to promote our content slate and unique value proposition at Mipcom), and creating marketing collateral, including maintaining websites, catalogues and other digital and printed collateral. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, creative services, and external partners to produce high-impact marketing that increases awareness of WildBrain’s services, increases sales and supports our corporate strategy.
This is a hands-on role for a manager with previous experience in project management, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Event & Campaign Management
- In collaboration with the PR team, develop and deliver trade advertising campaigns, including LinkedIn campaigns, aligned with PR and sales priorities.
- Plan and execute key sales events across the year, including client receptions, trade shows, and on-site support for corporate priority events.
- Provide strategic support on launches or client events driven by business units.
- Coordinate event logistics (venues, menus, invitations, collateral, branded merchandise). Occasional international travel may be required for onsite event support).
- Brief and manage creative services on event branding, signage, and marketing materials.
Marketing Materials & Sales Support
- Maintain and distribute sales collateral including decks, one sheets, catalogues, screeners, and other digital and printed sales tools.
- Update content sales website and sales app with latest materials and report on insights (users, titles viewed etc).
- Ensure marketing for WildBrain franchises is aligned with franchise strategies and all necessary third-party approvals are sourced when producing and distributing marketing assets.
- Support the Sr. Marketing Manager with marketing materials and special projects as required.
Budget & Reporting
- Track and manage the trade marketing budget; process invoices and reconcile expenses against budget.
- Submit and track department credit card receipts.
- Assist in preparing annual marketing budget forecasts.
Stakeholder & Partner Approvals
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Peanuts Worldwide, WildBrain Brands, Content Creation, Global Licensing, Audience Engagement, Executives) to secure approvals on materials.
- Review and support approvals for partner campaigns (consumer marketing, publishing, etc.).
Corporate & Brand Support
- Source and manage production of corporate branded collateral (lanyards, notebooks, etc.).
- Collaborate with HR, Sales, and other departments to supply branded items as needed.
- Support Toronto corporate events in partnership with leadership (venue sourcing, catering, invites, logistics).
Qualifications
- Track record of planning and delivering impactful marketing campaigns and events (preferably in media, entertainment, or B2B environments)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong creative judgement.
- Budget management and financial reporting experience (data literacy with experience interpreting campaign analytics and making data-driven decisions).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with digital sales tools, or creative review systems an asset.
