Job Description

The Senior User Experience (UX) Designer will conduct and analyze user research, design intuitive and engaging interactions, and contribute to and use our design system by solid interaction design skills, user research methods, with good visual, and UI design sensibilities.

 

  • Act as a subject matter expert in areas of visual design, usability, and optimization across a variety of site types (administrative, informational, transactional)
  • Lead user experience for assigned product segments and provide guidance throughout the development cycle
  • Gather and convert user feedback into meaningful data to discover opportunities, drive actionable improvement efforts, and recommend areas for optimization of underutilized products
  • Conduct customer usability testing both in-person and remote using prototypes, task analysis, interviews, and other methods
  • Design innovative, user-centric solutions that uphold Wi-Tronix goals and delight our customers
  • Create conceptual diagrams, wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes
  • Identify and suggest workflow improvements in a collaborative and constructive manner
  • Develop and maintain interaction pattern libraries
  • Design responsive solutions that are suitable for browsers on desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Design solutions and interactions integrated with hardware
  • Assist development teams with design implementation and testing
  • Present and communicate ideas, plans, initiatives, and issues effectively to relevant stakeholders
  • Build accessibility and ADA compliance into all aspects of our platform
  • Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs and champion great UX in the face of technical constraints
  • Provide the necessary information and assets to Engineering teams to effectively implement what was designed
  • Provide, receive, and prioritize design feedback from a variety of stakeholders and other subject matter experts
  • Collaborate in the exploration of new, innovative product ideas while refining existing features
  • Ensure our cross-platform web and mobile products support the customer and provide a consistent user experience
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by contributing subject matter expertise in the areas of information architecture, interaction design, visual design, user research, and user behavior

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with: 
  • Minimum of 5 years in user experience design for business-to-business (B2B) software or software as a service (SaaS) companies
  • Demonstrated strength designing for various application types (administrative, informational, transactional) delivered on multiple platforms (mobile, tablet, browser-based)
  • Proficiency in user-centered design methodologies
  • Expert knowledge of Axure and Illustrator
  • Strong conceptualization ability and strong visual communication ability
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in interaction design or related design field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work on both product and marketing facing projects is a plus
