We’re Wētā  Workshop – a design and manufacture facility making imaginary worlds a reality… from creatures to costumes, make-up to miniatures, weapons, vehicles, worlds and more! Our crew strive each day to push the boundaries of what can be achieved with physical effects.

We drew inspiration from the work we do to create Wētā Workshop Unleashed - a venue made by our own artists, taking guests on a journey through a reimagined film effect workshop and exploring make-believe worlds of fantasy, horror and sci-fi!

We’re looking for outgoing, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic crew members with a passion for storytelling to help us through the busy summer months.

Our hosts guide our guests through an unforgettable, world-class and fantastical FX film experience:

• Welcoming them with passion and gusto!
• Bringing the World of Unleashed to life by delivering 90min guided experiences
• Taking guests through an immersive and creative experience

You'll also be part of our Wētā Cave retail team, selling and processing tickets, and inspiring guests to start a collection of their own by sharing your enthusiasm, in-depth product knowledge, and sales focus, creating a retail experience like no other.

What we’re looking for in you?

• Previous host, retail/sales, guiding or guest service experience
• A passion for movies, visual effects, graphics and novels
• An upbeat, enthusiastic outlook and commitment to providing an excellent customer experience 

Hours:

• Opening hours are 8.00am to 6.00pm, 7 days a week. And we’re looking for people with good availability across those hours - especially throughout the summer months.

• All roles are casual (on-call) and include weekend work
• We're looking to have two intakes for training - starting 28 October and early December
• As part of our recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short video interview.
• Training is fully paid.
• This role pays $27.80/hour
