Job Description
What You’ll Do as a Grounds Person:
As a Grounds Person at Westgate Resorts you create beautiful outdoor spaces that make a lasting first impressions. This role focuses on maintaining the resort’s grounds to ensure a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for all who visit. You will demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.
- Operate pickup truck and/or a golf cart in daily work.
- Empties all trash cans at pools, three story buildings and team member parking lot as needed.
- Disposes of grease and cooking oil in proper containers.
- Pick up trash from curbs on property and surrounding areas to highway.
- Sweeps curbs and sidewalks.
- Cleans grounds and removes litter.
- Empty trash cans in the public area buildings
- Empty dumpsters.
- Operates trash compactor.
- Empties recycle bins.
- Breaks down cardboard items and places in appropriate containers.
- Leaves work area in a clean, neat and safe condition.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or general education degree GED.
- The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Follow instructions without close supervision.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
