Job Description
General Summary Of Duties:
Responsible for overseeing the operation of both Table Games & Slot Departments. Ensure quality guest services. Handle problems/issues that occur during shift. The Asst Casino Manager provides a wide range of specialized duties the supports the Casino Managers, Slot Director and Vice President of Casino Ops. They must have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations and possess strong written & verbal communication and organizational skills. The ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities is imperative. The Asst Casino Manager must be able to work under pressure and handle a wide variety of activities.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
- Oversee daily Slot and Table Games operations.
- Communicate and work closely with the Casino Managers, Slot Director, Table Games Director, and Senior Vice President of Operations.
- Ensure that all Slots and Table Game policies and procedures are being followed and enforced.
- Provide guest satisfaction through assistance, direction and information within company guidelines.
- Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Resolve issues that arise during the shift by conducting thorough research of the situation to find the most effective solutions.
- Ability to evaluate and coach team members performance.
- Respond to guest inquiries.
- Responsible for scheduling and staffing the shift and utilizing the early out and/or force out lists when needed to manage payroll according to business volumes.
- Manage and maintain department schedules, in-person & virtual meetings, and communications.
- Understands the complimentary policies; whilst being vigilant, however, maintaining excellent service standards
- Ensure that all AML guidelines and Responsible Gaming polices, and procedures are being followed.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in case of emergency situations and to read caution and/or safety notices.
Qualifications
Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to staff.
- Assign and instruct all personnel in details of work. Observe performance, encourage improvement and praise those that excel.
- Monitor workload and make staffing adjustments accordingly.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Manage all Slot and Table Games staff: selection, training, counseling and discipline.
- Monitor the scheduling of the shift and manager staff according to business volumes.
- Continuously walking throughout the Casino area (slots & tables) observing activities, protecting company assets and providing quality guest services.
- Knowledge of all table games to ensure transactions are quick and accurately completed.
- General knowledge of Slot operations.
Additional Information
Experience Requirements:
10 or more years’ experience in Table Games and General knowledge of Slot Operations. Prefer 5 or more years in Casino Operations Management.
Education Requirements:
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prefer 4-year college degree in Business Management but not required.
Desirables:
In depth knowledge of all Tables Games including but not limited to: BJ, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat & Novelty games.
