Job Description
As a Laundry Supervisor for the Westgate Vacation Villas Resort, you will oversee the daily laundry operations and resort guidelines, ensuring high-quality standards and complete guest satisfaction.
As a Laundry Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise and motivate all laundry personnel, including staffing, training, discipline, and scheduling.
- Visually monitor performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Sort and count articles to verify inventory quantities.
- Maintain chemical inventory.
- Prepare weekly schedules for laundry personnel to ensure adequate staffing.
- Assign laundry pickups from rooms and properties.
- Supply the Housekeeping Department with the correct inventory of linens and supplies for checkouts.
- Ensure all equipment is working properly and cleaned daily.
- Report work orders promptly when maintenance is required.
- Administer policies fairly and consistently, completing disciplinary procedures and documentation according to policy.
- Ensure the quality and productivity of Laundry Attendants and Wash Persons are met.
- Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Qualifications
- Possesses a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must have proof of a valid driver's license
