Job Description

As a Lifeguard, you will:

  • Monitor guest activity in pool and waterpark area to ensure safe use of the pool.
  • Apply and enforce pool rules and regulations consistently.
  • Assist distressed swimmers in emergency swimming situations.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and provide first aid in emergency situations as trained and authorized.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide resort information upon request.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • Lifeguards must be an expert swimmer, be in excellent physical condition, and be able to react quickly in emergency situations
  • High School Degree or equivalent is required
  • Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified and provide valid certifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure
