Job Description
General Summary Of Duties:
Supervise all phases of Sports Book Gaming Operations. Set department rules, regulations and wagering limits. Monitor and enforce Gaming and Department regulations. Promote the Sports Book and comp customers for Public Relation purposes. Manage Sports Book risk across multiple jurisdictions.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
- Supervise Sports Gaming operations by using computer terminal to monitor daily wagers.
- Set wagering guidelines on odds changes monitor wagers placed and move lines accordingly.
- Use state gaming rules and regulations to monitor and enforce gaming operations pertaining to Sports operations.
- Abide by department rules and regulations.
- Oversee risk in different jurisdictions
- Applying for Gaming license in different states

Ability to act independently while analyzing data and drawing conclusions.
- Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve customer complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective solutions. Make decisions and act based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to co-workers. Observe performance and encourage improvement. Monitor workload and make staffing adjustments accordingly.
- Ability to work with interruptions (i.e., phones, employees, guests).
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete departmental procedures, wage limits, etc. and communicate with superiors, subordinates and guests.
- Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to calculate wins/losses.
- Enough manual dexterity of hand in order to use computer keyboard.
- Ability to move and work throughout the Sports Book for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
- Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of subordinates.
- Knowledge of Sports Book operations, to include appropriate staffing levels, equipment and guest relations.
- Adheres to control procedures to protect gaming assets.
- Ability to deal with several problems requiring initiative and good judgment.
- Knowledge of labor law.
- Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Qualifications
Experience / Education Requirements:
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification in multiple jurisdictions.
