Starting rate of pay: $20.00 / hour

Job Description

As the Lead Night Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our overnight operations, overseeing the nightly audit processes to ensure that all assigned resorts are closed timely and accurately.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of the daily reports and emails to the key personnel at each resort daily.
  • Assist other resorts as necessary with close procedures should they have issues.
  • Maintains Excel spreadsheets and make changes to the daily report/night audit reports as needed/requested.
  • Make sure the daily reports are in balance nightly.
  • Communicate to the Night Audit Manager any issues that may occur that require his attention.
  • Communicate with the Accounting and appropriate Resort teams regarding any issue that needs to be resolved.
  • Verify the accuracy of guest accounts, ensuring all charges and payments are correctly posted.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and investigate any irregularities in financial records.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed audit reports to management and relevant departments.
  • Assist with the financial closing of the majority of resorts within the Westgate company (approximately 33 resorts). This will include all front desk and retail outlets within the designated resorts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a night audit or accounting role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures and financial auditing.
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel.

Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of internal audit experience or a combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Applications – Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of MR Applications a plus.
  • Experience in/with resort operations a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to travel to/from Westgate Lakes to Westgate Vacation Villas as needed -10% of the time.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment (team player).
