As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Provide Guest Safety: Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all guests. This involves maintaining constant surveillance, continuously scanning the pool or water park area, and monitoring guests for signs of distress or unsafe behavior.
• Provide Emergency Response: Be prepared to spring into action in emergencies. You will be trained to render emergency care and, if necessary, contact emergency medical services to ensure prompt and appropriate assistance for guests in need.
• Ensure Facility Cleanliness: Keeping our facility clean and well-maintained is essential. You will play a role in maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and water park areas to create a pleasant and sanitary environment for our guests.
• Maintain Activity Reports: Maintain detailed activity reports to document incidents, observations, and any actions taken during your shift. This documentation is critical for the ongoing safety and improvement of our facility.
• Adhere to Training and Safety Procedures: Attend scheduled in-service training to stay updated on the latest safety protocols and guidelines. You are expected to rigorously follow all established safety procedures to ensure the highest level of guest protection.
• Participate in Team Collaboration: Be a team player and assist your colleagues with their duties as required. Cooperation and effective communication within the team are crucial for a seamless guest experience.

Requirements:

• Lifeguards must be an expert swimmer, be in excellent physical condition, and be able to react quickly in emergency situations
• High School Degree or equivalent is required
• Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified and provide valid certifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure
