Job Description

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will: 

  • Execute general support tasks like painting, caulking, and repairing wall damages to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
  • Diagnose problems accurately and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance staff to prioritize and coordinate repair tasks.
  • Actively participate in the procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are readily available for maintenance work.
  • Utilize and navigate resort operation devices and software effectively (e.g., HotSOS and other applicable tools).
  • Work confidently with ladders, scaffolds, and lifts, while adhering to appropriate PPE guidelines.
  • Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and practices to ensure a secure working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in similar role, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPO and EPA Certification preferred.
  • 1+ year of facilities maintenance or handyman experience.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid FL State Driver’s License to drive company vehicle.
