Job Description

We are actively seeking a skilled Engineering Laundry Technician III to join our new commercial laundry facility. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to work in a cutting-edge commercial laundry environment, supporting and servicing a wide range of commercial and industrial laundry equipment for multiple large properties.

As a Commercial Laundry Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be to service and maintain a variety of commercial laundry equipment, ensuring optimal functionality. Your duties will encompass the following:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a range of commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and towel folders.
  • Conduct general building maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains in good working condition.
  • Maintain and monitor chemical systems used in the laundry process.
  • Service gas-fired boilers and heaters.
  • Safely and correctly use cylinders and torches for welding and brazing tasks.
  • Service and maintain HVAC (A/C and heating) systems within the facility.
  • Assist with various tasks such as ribbons, blowdowns, waxing, and general support.
  • Connect and operate pressure regulators accurately.
  • Develop and adhere to a comprehensive maintenance program, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance activities for assigned equipment, as directed by the supervisor.
  • Understand basic electronic components, both digital and analog, as well as wiring diagrams.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and behavior.
  • Actively seek knowledge and experience to excel in your role.
  • Understand the importance of product production to the company's success and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Being capable of lifting heavy equipment with assistance and comfortable working in confined spaces. Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Must be able to work in hot, humid conditions near loud, moving machine
  • Must be flexible with your schedule and have open availability
  • Basic computer literacy in Microsoft programs and internet use.
