Job Description

As the General Maintenance Lead, you will: 

  • Visually inspect, operate, and maintain guestrooms, common area and associated mechanical equipment systems throughout the campus.
  • Utilize knowledge of building mechanical systems such as, but not limited to, water distribution, fire detection, air conditioning, swimming pools is required.
  • Interpretation of blue prints and technical manuals along with knowledge in the use of various tools and equipment is encouraged.
  • Perform various maintenance assignments and quality inspections, while adhering to manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for preventative maintenance of all related equipment, is necessary.
  • Educate company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of projects completed.
  • Initiate or suggests plans to positively motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience leading a team of general maintenance in hospitality industry or similar setting.
  • CPO and EPA Certification preferred.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid FL State Driver’s License to drive company vehicle.
