Job Description

The VP of Purchasing and Logistics leader must have hospitality (hotel/resort) experience. Individual will report to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and oversee FF&E, OS&E, Sourcing, Procurement and Warehouse & Logistics departments encompassing 50+ team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facets of Procurement, FF&E, Sourcing, Warehouse and Logistics, including personnel, project management, contract negotiation, brand specifications, etc.
  • Lead a team culture to provide exceptional service to the end user and develop a strong internal team culture
  • Lead all sourcing efforts, securing partnerships with manufacturers, distributors and supplies to align with brand specifications
  • Form relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company with a focus on service, quality, and cost savings
  • Develop new processes and system to support the purchasing operations and improve maintain financial success
  • Communicates department visions, develop strategic plan, implement process and training, and track results
  • Develop and update FF&E and OS&E brand specifications
  • Negotiate national agreements, including FF&E, OS&E, freight, and system contracts
  • Develop budget templates and maintain budgets and expenses for each project
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Reviewing purchasing orders and contracts for conformance to policies and global planning
  • Ensure warehouse inventory is properly secured and managed
  • Manage all PAR level counts
  • Resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
  • Train buyer on product knowledge and specifications
  • Resolve receiving and accounts payable issues through process improvement
  • Maintains a working understanding of Fusion and its involvement of departments daily business
  • Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures
  • Must represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Associate's Handbook
  • Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute the role to its full potential
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university with a concentration in business, finance, or hospitality management.  Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10+) years of Purchasing and/or Logistics experience
  • Must have a minimum of ten (5+) years in Hospitality Supply Chain Management
  • Must have a minimum of five (5+) years executive management level experience in purchasing and  logistics
  • Be able to lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
  • Travel required
