Job Description

This individual will be well trained and versed in the intricate workings of scheduler configuration.  They will be working directly with ADP Vantage and ADP Optimized Scheduler teams to understand the design, configuration and functions of the Optimized Scheduler and forecasting.  This individual should be very comfortable with technology, not necessarily at an IT level, but feel confident navigating and making changes to a software system.  This role will aid in the initial creation and ongoing support of the Optimized Scheduler.  The schedule administrator will need to have an ongoing presence from the initial phases of implementation and will continue to support the product after “go-live.”  The individual chosen for this role should be a strong promoter of change and enjoy ongoing learning.  They will be able to “digest” significant amounts of information about the product/project and disseminate appropriately amongst organization staff.  This position requires some evening and weekend availability as business needs arise.

Accountabilities:

  • Champion the administration and implementation of the scheduling solutions.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day effectiveness of the scheduling applications in partnership with site and corporate operations, data base administrators and integration team
  • Maintain all configurable elements within the software applications, including organization maps, allowable labor hours, standards, schedule rules, meal breaks, labor law requirements, etc.
  • Develop and maintain configurations for new, re-modeled, closed, and re-aligned locations. 
  • Validate weekly volume at division, district, location, and department level as needed to achieve reasonable weekly schedules.
  • Interface with corporate, field, and department heads to communicate business requirements.
  • Triage, communicate and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Support project initiatives that affect the scheduling program
  • Respond to field management and help desk inquiries/issues within SLA timeframes.
  • Provide feedback on performance, integration, and reporting issues.
  • Serve as the central contact within the company to report and follow-up with vendor support on problems encountered while using the scheduling systems (includes maintaining documentation and problem/case log)
  • Participate in the coordination of integration services, product updates, change requests and application support.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with team members and management at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to support day to day priorities with ongoing project work.
  • Demonstrate the proactive ability to find and define problems, understand business impact, identify solutions, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Advanced/Power user of Microsoft Excel
  • Prior knowledge of the ADP/Kronos/Optimized Scheduler suite a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding and support of location/department operations.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • High level of integrity needed to deal with confidential wage information.

Education/Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent worked experience required (Focus in quantitative disciplines, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics preferred)
  • 6+ years of workforce management experience required.
  • 3+ years of forecasting, scheduling, and capacity planning experience in a multi-site environment
