Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Execute the strategic vision for the Engineering department, aligning it with the resort's overall goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Implement, train, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
• Assist in managing the Engineering Department’s budgets, reserves, capital expenditures, P&L reviews, and forecasting expenses.
• Participate in developing and managing maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Support the planning and executing major capital improvement projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient and cost-effective maintenance operations.
• Responsible for procuring and inventorying all tools and materials for the Engineering Department.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and resort operations devices & software (HotSOS).
• Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal communications.
• Perform custodial and maintenance duties as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and O&M manuals.
• Expert ability to use hand tools, electrical and battery-powered tools, and other pertinent tools.
• Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs positively towards resolutions.
• Must comply with all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
• Represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and behavior.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Physical capability: You should be able to lift up to 35 pounds and be willing to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Age and driver's license: You must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license to operate company golf carts.
