Job Description

The Partnerships and Distribution Manager is responsible for channel and distribution management for the Westgate Resort portfolio, which will facilitate the strategic direction and tactical implementation of hotel/rental room revenue sales. The Distribution Manager’s core responsibility is to oversee the SynXis CRS and Booking Engine system in its entirety, including property content, imagery, connectivity with OTA and Wholesale partner accounts, Consortia Participation, and GDS/HOD content.     

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the National Director of Partnerships & Distribution and Senior Management team in all requested job duties and/or projects and events.
  • Responsible for the daily management of all channels of distribution, defined as E-commerce (OTA), Wholesale, Consortia, Corporate Transient, Travel Agent (GDS) and its content and overall health under the guidance of the National Director of Partnerships & Distribution.
  • Oversee the onboarding, and ongoing maintenance, of dynamic connectivity and the facilitation of all communication and troubleshooting regarding connectivity, in all related systems.
  • Maintenance of all property level content, including any and all written descriptions and related imagery.
  • Uploading and ongoing maintenance of new rate plans and new room types, including all related descriptions, content and imagery required.
  • Continually audit OTA and Wholesale partner account listings for content, imagery, brand standard compliance, and accuracy of information.
  • Assist in identifying copyright infringement, illegitimate affiliate rate feeds and other breach of contract related items and collaborate with Legal.
  • Assist in generating marketing plans, collateral, promotional material, newsletters and trend market analysis reports and/or campaigns with Revenue Management and Digital Marketing teams.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training, webinars and general sessions related to Channel Management and Distribution.
  • May be required to travel to industry tradeshows, call center trainings, property tours and offsite customer meetings and incur travel expenses for submission for reimbursement. This will require employee to have reliable transportation and ability to travel in and out of market with very short notice. International travel will require employee to maintain a valid US passport or other required valid documentation for traveling out/into the United States.
  • Employee must be available to travel up to, but not limited to, 10% of the time or as required by the project.
  • Ability to navigate and analyze production reports in Excel and/or Word with intermediate to advanced skill.
  • Collaborate with resort operations and partner accounts to ensure optimal service standards for all properties and for all accounts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively communicate to all key stakeholders, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with stated objectives and achieve those objectives with minimal management.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policy and procedures to achieve the overall objective of this position.

  • System Connectivity Experience preferred (SynXis, GDS, DerbySoft, DHISCO, etc).
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with intermediate to advanced skill.
  • Internet navigation, SEM, SEO and social networks.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish desired.
  • Trilingual- English/Spanish/Portuguese a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

At least two (2) years of channel or distribution coordination or management required, with preferably booking engine experience included (but not required). A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred, but not required.
