Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

Manually set up, break down and service all meeting rooms in accordance with guest requests and standard departmental guidelines. 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest and Hotel Management. This includes considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.
Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.
Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms, ballrooms, and restrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete job assignments following written/verbal directions, communicate with other employees and act as a team.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions from supervisor, clients and other employees.
Communicate with supervisor throughout the shift.
Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use two way radio, mop and broom.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in case of emergency situations and to read caution and /or safety notices.
Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions.
Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes with the Hotel. 
Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Typical physical / mental demands
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, vacuum cleaner and shampoo machine.
Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry 50 lbs. max, or otherwise, move or push goods on a cart weighing a maximum of 200 lbs. (Pushing 200 lbs./pulling 150 lbs.)on a continuous schedule.
Ability to walk to a maximum of 3 miles per shift for 50% of the time.
Ability to climb stairs and ride elevators for l0% of the time.
