Job Description

Hotel Corp is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to manage our end-to-end email marketing strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing copying, managing email databases, compiling weekly customer newsletters, and implementing direct email marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will collaborate across functions to deliver an effective email marketing strategy that meets business objectives in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify the target audience and create effective email marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for compiling and analyzing data, managing the email database, and improving the email marketing strategy to generate sales revenue

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify our target email audience and grow our email list, using particularly placed sign-up forms and gated content throughout the larger website.
  • Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns, including developing copy and subject lines, designing email templates, building email lists, and more.
  • Manage and report on email marketing campaigns and results, using results to determine ROI, make suggestions for improvements, and establish best practices.
  • Ensure prompt, accurate, and error-free communication with customers to build loyal relationships and minimize unsubscribes.
  • Work with leadership to determine goals and report on sales revenue generated from email marketing efforts.
  • Maintain email database and upgrade email sends through sourced graphics, customization, calls-to-action, and additional advanced features.
  • Ensure emails follow industry standards and privacy policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience in email marketing or Digital marketing
  • Support day-to-day management of email campaigns including email updates, new content, monitoring, and reporting
  • 1+ years working with HTML for email
  • 1+ years’ experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud desired
  • Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder a plus
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and GDPR email regulations
  • Ability to hand code HTML/CSS emails – proficiency in responsive email design
  • Hands-on experience with HTML and content management systems
  • Proficiency in marketing automation technology
  • Experience with MailChimp
  • Ability to create drip campaigns
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with analytical and database tools
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • An ability to work under tight deadlines

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required with a focus in Digital Marketing. Master's degree in marketing preferred.
