Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and services mechanical or electrical locking devices on doors and safes by performing the following duties.

As a Locksmith, you will:

• Disassembles locks such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
• Diagnoses, repairs, or replaces electrical circuits and changes batteries on locks and safes.
• Programs door locks, operates Illco F.D.U.
• Installs locks on doors, safes, cabinets, drawers, or other areas as directed.
• Utilizes standard locksmithing tools to unlock vehicles when directed and on occasion.
• Installs new or repaired tumblers into locks or safes to change combination.
• Cuts new or duplicate keys upon request and proper authorization.
• Utilizes locksmithing tools to open locks without keys.
• Opens safe locks by utilizing approved methods which could include drilling.
• Keeps records of all company locks and keys for the property.
• Leaves work area, vehicle, and tools in clean, neat, and safe condition.
• Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed by on-site management.
• Performs any other related duties as prescribed by on-site management.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 35lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
