Victoria’s Voice Foundation
David and Jacqueline Siegel lost their daughter to an opioid overdose in 2015. Since then, they are committed to saving lives and ending the drug epidemic by preventing use and offering treatment through Victoria’s Voice Foundation (VVF).

The mission of Victoria’s Voice Foundation is to advance initiatives, seek policy changes, develop programs and projects or support those created by other credible organizations, that will prevent addiction, address the intersection between mental health and drug abuse, and save lives from overdose.

Job Description

Responsible for creating and implementing a fundraising strategy to meet the corporate giving fundraising goal for Victoria’s Voice Foundation. The Director of Corporate Partnerships is charged with building and managing relationships with key corporate partners; developing and engaging new partners and corporate partnership opportunities; and analyzing trends in the nonprofit sector and recommending new strategies and insights to grow corporate support for the foundation.

The Director of Corporate Partnerships will be a proactive fundraiser who has progressive and successful development experience, particularly working with Fortune 500 companies, and high-level corporate executives. Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach and develop corporate partnerships that will support the strategic financial growth of the foundation.
  • Implement programs for strategic networking and the creation of partnerships to strengthen and expand programs with the right partners, open opportunities to secure new funding streams, develop and maintain engaged donor relationships.
  • Be a passionate team member with a serious commitment to the mission and vision of the foundation.

1)  Board Engagement:  Works with the Foundation Board and Board Representative(s) as requested, to execute and fulfill the organizational mission.

  • Responsible for executing on the mission outlined by the Executive Director and the Foundation Board in all operational aspects.
  • As requested, responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and Board Representative(s) and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to support corporate partnership fundraising initiatives.

2)   Financial Performance and Viability:   Develops resources and builds relationships sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.

  • Oversees corporate fundraising strategy and supports developing other revenues necessary to support the Foundation’s mission.
  • Works with the Executive Director and Finance and Regulatory Manager to ensure the fiscal integrity of the Foundation to include submission of fundraising income and prospect reports, with projected cashflow timelines.

3)   Organization Mission and Strategy:  Works with the Executive Director and team members to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through corporate partnerships, fundraising events and community outreach.

  • Engagement in the implementation of the foundation’s programs that require corporate funding to operate.
  • Assist in overseeing fundraising goals of the strategic plan to ensure that the foundation can successfully fulfill its Mission into the future.
  • Responsible for the enhancement of the foundation’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations in a nonpartisan fashion.

Actual Job Responsibilities

  • Report to the Executive Director and work closely with the CEO on the organization’s overall fundraising strategy, with a focus on corporate partnerships.
  • Lead corporate partnerships strategy to reach fundraising goals; from development of effective partnership and sponsorship opportunities, through closing multi-year commitments.
  • Manage, solicit and steward a portfolio of existing and prospective corporate partners.
  • Develop corporate partnership packages that convey the financial and social impact value of partnering with the foundation, including program and event sponsorships.
  • Work with members of the foundation team to ensure fulfillment of all corporate partnership elements including marketing exposure and hospitality amenities.
  • Manage and support the Executive Director and CEO’s corporate partner visits including pre-visit research and strategy, follow-up, documentation and stewardship.
  • Provide post-event analysis and data reports of corporate fundraising efforts and events.
  • Stay informed about current industry tools and technology, industry events and training, and emerging trends in the industry.
  • Work with finance to ensure accurate recording of grants and donations; documentation of contracts and transactions; facilitate collection of payments; and work with Executive Director to report results and progress to appropriate audiences including the Board of Directors, Advisory Council and external partners.  
  • All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or CEO.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working in the nonprofit sector or other relevant business development experience, with a track record of significant corporate fundraising and partnership management.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University preferred, or 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Transparent and a high level of integrity in leadership and personal reputation.
  • Experience and skill in working with a Board of Directors.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission to donors, volunteers, and the overall community.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff.
  • Successful track record of identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding multi-year, and up to multimillion dollar nonprofit/corporate sponsorships, gifts and grants.
  • Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies and volunteers.
  • Understanding of database management, reporting, business processing and compliance of corporate partner contracts and prospect research tools.
  • Ability to coordinate high-level corporate executive meetings and events with Victoria’s Voice Foundation leadership—both locally and nationally.
  • Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking ability.
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of energy.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytic skills, and adaptability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in building revenue and increasing philanthropic support.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
