Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the Partnerships & Distribution team and act as a liaison between the client and the impacted Resort departments. Assist in the daily account management tasks in order to achieve and/or exceed departmental hotel room revenue and occupancy goals for the Hotel Sales and Marketing division.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the National Director of Partnerships & Distribution, as well as its Senior Sales Manager(s) and Sales Manager(s), in all requested job duties and/or projects and events.
  • Responsible for assisting with the daily management of assigned channels of distribution, defined as E-commerce (OTA), Wholesale, Consortia, Corporate Transient, Travel Agent (GDS), Extended Stay and Executive Housing.
  • Assist with the communication of contracts, rates, promotions and/or room allotments with partner account(s) and internal impacted departments, including but not limited to Front Desk, Food & Beverage, Hotel Sales, Group Sales, Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, Accounting and/or Reservations.
  • Perform client reconciliations and travel agent commissions for processing, approval and payout request.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing plans, promotional material, newsletters and trend market analysis reports when requested.
  • Ability to navigate and analyze production reports in Excel and/or Word with basic to intermediate skill.
  • Attend seminars, webinars, conference calls and sales presentations when requested during normal business hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively communicate with clients/partnerships, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with stated objectives and achieve those objectives with minimal management.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policy and procedures to achieve the overall objective of this position.
  • Employee must have reliable transportation and be available to work during designated/assigned hours.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requirements include a two-year (2) certificate from college or technical school; or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong oral presentation skills.  Communicate effectively with customers in a friendly and positive manner.  Ability to listen, read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in English, Spanish is considered a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
