Job Description

As a Carpenter, you are instrumental in the upkeep and repair of our resort's wooden infrastructure. Your role involves meticulous carpentry, operational proficiency with woodworking tools, and ensuring our wooden installations' structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Your dedication to precision, safety, and our core values is crucial in maintaining our high standards.

As a Carpenter, you will:

  • Repair and maintain wooden structures and equipment within the resort based on detailed blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions
  • Perform rough-to-finished carpentry work on various areas, including buildings, office partitions, benches, scaffolding, framework, platforms, and trim
  • Utilize woodworking tools like electrical saws, routers, drills, planers, lathes, jointers, molders, borers, and sanders proficiently
  • Maintain inventory of specified lumber, materials, and tools necessary for woodworking tasks
  • Assist in installing cabinets, base, trim, shelving, doors, and hardware
  • Assemble, cut, and shape materials, securing them with nails, dowel pins, or glue, ensuring structural accuracy with plumb bobs and carpenter's levels
  • Conduct fine adjustments to cabinets and doors for proper operation and specialize in molding, trimming, and ornamental work

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a friendly and positive demeanor
  • Must be comfortable working in various outdoor weather conditions (i.e., hot, cold, wet, humid, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have proof of a valid driver's license
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
