Job Description

Supports all areas of Corporate Facilities work processes by assisting technicians in a variety of work classifications to include facilities maintenance, cabinet shop, landscaping, and inventory. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core company values:

Essential Duties and Responsibilites

  • Assist maintenance technicians, cabinet makers, landscapers and inventory team with projects and service orders.
  • Responsible for picking up supply orders from vendors.
  • Gather supplies for tasks/projects and deliver to job site.
  • Ensure proper care of items handled while transporting.
  • Prep job sites to include setting up material and equipment as required for the task.
  • Assist with job site cleanup to include disposal of trash and debris, leaving job site clean, neat and organized.
  • Responsibly, properly, and timely operation of devices and software (HotSOS) by communicating professionally through radios, phones, emails and verbal communications.
  • Safely use hand tools, electrical and battery powered tools and any other pertinent tool required by the work at hand.
  • Safely use of ladders, scaffolds, lifts, dust masks and work in confined/tight spaces.
  • Follow safety guidelines/practices and recognize and identify potential hazards in the property(ies).
  • Communicate and interpret stakeholder needs by positively interacting towards resolutions.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support.
  • Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures.
  • Must represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Team Member’s Handbook.
  • Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute their role to its full potential. 
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when a project dictates a need.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years general shop work and experience with tools and small equipment preferred.

Education & Certifications:

  • High school degree.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured under our policy to drive company vehicles.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Immaculate driving record.
  • The individual must be an energetic, self-motivated and expressive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communicative in order to excel in guest and peer relations.
  • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands
The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds. Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 50+ pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, for up to eight (8) hours. Must be capable of hearing within what is considered to be a normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include capable of distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and perception, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization. Written and verbal communication in English is expected.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Abilities
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Work Environment
Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.  Driving from site to site. Fast paced work environment that requires clear thinking for problem solving while maintaining a positive attitude.  Position will frequently interact with guests of the resort.  Position will work closely with others in the department on larger projects as well as independently on daily tasks.
