Job Description

As a Laundry Supervisor at our Industrial Laundry facility, you will be at the forefront of our team, responsible for guiding and motivating team members. Your leadership will set the tone for the entire laundry operation, influencing how effectively tasks are completed and how well the team collaborates. It will be your role to instill a sense of purpose and responsibility among the team members, ensuring they are aligned with our company's goals and values.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Supervise and motivate laundry personnel through daily oversight, encompassing staffing, training, discipline, and scheduling.
  • Visually monitor performance to ensure strict adherence to all service and productivity standards, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction.
  • Accurately sort and count articles to verify inventory quantities.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining the chemical inventory.
  • Prepare a weekly schedule for laundry personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Assign laundry pickups from guest rooms and properties.
  • Coordinate the supply of the Housekeeping Department with the correct linen and supplies inventory for buildings during checkouts.
  • Ensure all laundry equipment is functioning properly and cleaned daily.
  • Promptly report work orders when deficiencies are noted and maintenance is required.
  • Fairly and consistently administer policies, complete disciplinary procedures and documentation according to our policy guidelines.
  • Monitor and uphold the quality and productivity of Laundry Attendants and Wash Persons.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Must have a Driver’s License
