Job Description

The Activities Supervisor will be responsible for communicating and working with Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism Management (RR & TM), Excursions, Scuba, Tennis, Caricature Artists, etc. In order to facilitate products and services for Activities Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activity and special event programs using themed concepts.
  • Assist in set-up and brake down for special events.
  • Manages subordinate team members in the Activities/Kids Club department.
  • Assist with training.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Organize and update department files.
  • Plan parties for owners, guests, and team members.
  • Formulate an environment, which will increase team member moral, motivation, and promote team spirit.
  • Take charge of department in absence of manager.
  • Purchase and pick up supplies and equipment when necessary.
  • Order, inventory, and distribute logo merchandise and sports equipment.
  • Prepare daily and monthly records and procedures for logo merchandise, marketing materials and other purchases in accordance with CFI and Westgate Resorts accounting.
  • Collect daily written reports about the Fitness Center and Game Room.
  • Organize vender reports and collect monthly payment.
  • Write up subordinate team member performance evaluations; ability to enforce disciplinary procedures.
  • Attend manager meetings and participate in team member orientation tour.
  • Power and responsibility to cancel various activities when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participants.
  • Cooperate with recreation and non-recreation personnel.
  • Act as team leader for Activities Department regarding resort service standards.
  • Contact person for entertainment regarding special events.
  • Stock special event supplies on a weekly basis.
  • Performs weekly inspections of recreational sites.
  • Replacement of nets, repairing and repainting equipment as needed.
  • Contact person for contractors regarding repairs and replacement of recreational courts, playground, dock, fitness center, etc.
  • Ability to design, create and upkeep decorations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Have creative mind and excellent customer service skills.
  • 1+ years of Supervisory experience
  • 1+ years experience in creating and participating in recreational and arts & crafts activities. 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
