Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:


Able to deal cards and control pace of multi-games. Handle all bets on assigned game, take losers and pay winners with chips.  Mentally perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately while game is in progress. 

 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

 

1.        Knowledge of multi-games to deal and protect game.

2.        Ability to perform basic mathematical operations to make correct payoffs.

3.        Ability to work with interruptions and perform multiple tasks.

4.        Ability to deal Blackjack and/or Pai Gow, Roulette, Craps or Baccarat.

5.        Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and solve customer concerns. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer, providing positive and proactive solutions.

6.        Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to comprehend dept./Hotel rules/regulations and communicate with guests, other employees and management.

7.        Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.

8.        Ability to perform duties within temperature ranges.

9.        Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance.

10.     Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment.

11.     Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice, answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information.

12.     Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to listen and respond to employee or management inquiries/concerns using a positive, clear speaking voice, answering questions and/or offering assistance giving accurate information regarding plans, policy or procedures.

 

 

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

Must be 21 years of age.

1.        Ability to deal game according to rules/regulations and standards.

2.        Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.

3.        Ability to effectively communicate with internal/external guests.

 

Typical physical / mental demands

1.        Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to deal cards.

2.        Ability to stand and work 100% of shift.

 

Typical Working Condition:

May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.

 
Experience  Requirements

Experienced with dealing various games.

 

Education Requirements

Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
