Job Description

We are seeking a Commercial Area Technician that will provide stellar customer service by responding to emergency calls promptly and providing routine maintenance to help fix the HVAC system for our guests.

As a Commercial Area Technician, you will:

  • Check and makes major repairs to plumbing systems, gas lines, toilets, sinks, refrigeration units, stoves and ovens, pumps, and laundry equipment
  • Check and makes major repairs to electrical systems such as power and lighting systems
  • Communicate and receive information to/from manufacturers and vendors for pricing on material, troubleshooting trouble to related equipment
  • Complete material requisition for materials and places orders with completed purchase orders
  • Create and maintain 52 weekly preventative maintenance programs on all kitchen & laundry equipment and assist other areas with the implementation of preventative maintenance program
  • Ensure that all kitchen & laundry equipment is functioning properly and that preventative maintenance measures are performed to preserve the hotel and keep product quality standards
  • Monitor mechanical electrical and water usage to ensure effective energy management
  • Respond in a courteous manner to guest questions and or requests to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Give and receive, to and from maintenance requests and completion of individual assignments

Requirements:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess a vast knowledge of Laundry Equipment, Food & Beverage equipment, electrical, and plumbing
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
