Job Description

Customer Service and Sales support for the Welcome Center of Corp. Marketing Road Program. Promotes Westgate Resorts by arranging tours for qualified potential timeshare purchasers, books room nights, sells attraction tickets, and provides concierge services in contracted locations. Assists with new hire training with, Corp. Road Program training, Guidelines, and Policies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the below tasks. Other duties may be assigned or removed based on business needs.

  • Presents and arranges Westgate timeshare tour promotion to qualified guests at various contracted locations on a daily basis
  • Arrange and book room nights for guests who walk into the welcome centers
  • Provides concierge service for contracted locations
  • Maintain updated information on local area attractions and special events, and maintain a courteous, professional image to guests as a team member of resort
  • Arrange and book tours of the resort for possible timeshare sales
  • Responsible for personal sale quotas; Tours, Tickets and Rooms
  • Able to work a flexible schedule (day/hours) including weekends and holiday
  • Able to handle cash and tickets accurately and securely
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Responsible of Inventory and Supplies of the Center when needed
  • Ensure location is well-kept, clean and maintain
  • Assist with cash handling forms, policies and procedures, confirming cash amounts and reporting issues timely
  • Assist with team members engagement activities and information on a daily basis
  • Cover for other employees shifts if needed by Center Manager

Supervisory Responsibilites
Supervisory Responsibilities when directed by Center Management due to business needs or training to become part of the Management team.

  • Minimum of 1 year of sales and customer service experience required
  • Must be able to handle cash and tickets accurately and securely, be able to communicate well with others, enjoy working with tourists, be able to take direction well, possess strong auditing skills, and possess good management skills.
  • Work in Indoor and outdoor if required.
  • Ability to work in a moderate noise level attributed to the business office with computers and printers, light traffic

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and documents. Ability to discern problem areas in the pitches of OPC personnel and re-direct said personnel to a more successful approach in speaking with the public. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or OPC personnel including being able to explain compensation calculations, gifting costs, etc. Ability to effectively present information to Field Manager, groups of trainees and potential and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. recruits. Ability to discern those qualities that would contribute to a successful recruit during the interview process.

Reasoning Abilities
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

These demands include those typical for a desk job/office-related work, specifically, with a vast amount of time spent standing/sitting at the marketing counter talking with, presenting to, and listening to team members and customers. Some time is spent driving to the various sites for training and observation, and some walking is done in the retrieval of information and various documentation, etc. necessary for the Center Manager to make appropriate evaluations for continued staff improvement. Further, some time is spent stooping, kneeling, or crouching in the filing of documents and the retrieval of filed documents. No climbing, balancing, tasting, or smelling is involved in any necessary job task related to this position. This job does not require that weight be lifted, or force be exerted, although from time to time, boxes of invitations and/or paper weighing approximately 25 pounds must be moved from one area to another, and to expedite processing or complete a job task, these items are moved appropriately.

The majority of the time is spent at the Welcome/Information Center and providing direct one-on-one assisted training of personnel and customer service. A portion of the time is spent working in an office environment consisting of team member-controlled temperature levels, with moderate standard office noise ranging from conversation to office machinery noise (typewriters, printers, copiers, fax machines, staplers, etc.). There is very little exposure to outdoor weather conditions except during travel outside the building and training/supervision conducted at OPC booth(s). 

Other duties may be assigned based on business necessities.
