Job Description

As the Excursion Tour Guide/Captain, you will be responsible for the daily operation of all organized excursion programs and special events with our guests.

As the Excursion Tour Guide/Captain, you will: 

  • Enthusiasm, energy, drive, job devotion, and personal ambition are a must.
  • Must be willing to work any day of the week including holidays.
  • Plan, prepare, participate, arrange & conduct adult and children’s excursions while maintaining brand standards.
  • Prepare, participate, arrange, and conduct special events.
  • Present to Manager or director ideas and budgets for excursion & special event activities.
  • Maintain contact with vendors, local entertainment establishments and suppliers of activities related businesses.
  • Fill out daily log and tallies guest participation.
  • Handle money transactions and accounting procedures.
  • Sign owners and guest up for excursion activities
  • Use of computer skills as needed.
  • Enforce safety rules and procedures with resort guests.
  • Perform other tasks related to recreation and adventure Dept., including clerical/administrative duties, budgeting, working with leadership on industry trends for excursions and special events
  • Keep Activities areas neat and clean.
  • Maintain inventory of excursion or event items as needed.
  • Assess progress, implementation, and program effectiveness
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Some college preferred; or one to three years related program experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of adult / children sports, games, activities, and entertainment.
  • Ability to work well with others, as well as independently.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule according to business needs. Weekends and holidays required.
