JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a proactive, innovative, and agile Public Relations and Influencer Manager who will work with internal teams and our external PR agency to propel the brand’s image through the successful implementation of its national PR strategy. You will have the opportunity to work alongside company leaders to execute our PR and influencer strategy which will be critical for brand growth. This is a great opportunity for a natural “people person” who is skilled at building and nurturing relationships.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with public relations/social director and external PR team to develop the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services
  • Organize and maintain a working PR calendar of all upcoming promotions, events, and marketing assets to ensure proper planning and execution of assets and collateral
  • Manage execution of press releases, news announcements and product releases across Westgate Resorts-owned media properties, both internally and externally, to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
  • Provide tactical support to PR agency as it coordinates and executes press and influencer trips, media FAMs and events, including facilitating booking reservations, checking inventory, providing tracking links, and setting up gifts for our VIP guests
  • Research media, influencer, and co-brand opportunities/outlets on SEO and Social Media tools
  • Identify opportunities to work with influencers and integrate them into the organization’s broader social strategy framework
  • Lead the development and execution of influencer strategy designed to improve the full marketing funnel—increasing brand awareness, engagement, consideration, and conversion
  • Responsible for influencer management across social media platforms, addressing all direct messages, comments, tagged photos, and mentions in a timely manner to deliver world-class customer service and foster engagement
  • Create, manage and organize influencer-earned media deliverables, distribute discount codes/tracking links and provide feedback on all influencer-generated content
  • Track and analyze the performance of PR and influencer initiatives across channels and leverage insights to create and execute a monthly content calendar that aligns with business priorities and goals
  • Innovate and advocate for new ways to expand our influencer marketing initiatives and find ways to partner with other teams to utilize these creative assets to maximize their value
  • Monitor and distribute analytics reports, specifically tracking and measuring influencer-driven metrics
  • Proactively maintain a database of approved photos, b-roll, and other materials as needed
  • Evaluate internal and external programs to determine whether they are compatible with our organization’s public relations efforts
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to ensure content and themes are aligned with department and organizational priorities
  • Be a creative collaborator: Have the ability to be the voice of the brand and the influencer to create content that is authentic and powerful for both channels
  • Write/edit copy for social content, launches, and campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners, including digital marketing, food, and beverage, resort operations, legal, etc.
  • Manage company-wide “Spotlight Report” that focuses on PR initiatives.
  • Manage brand LinkedIn account and assist with other social media PR posts as needed
  • Actively participate in marketing and public relations activities and trips
  • Other duties assigned

 

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 Experience:

  • 3+ years public relations agency and/or in-house communications team experience preferred.
  • Experience with corporate communications in a large corporation or agency setting. Internal communications experience is also a plus.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong writing, editing/proofreading skills, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in AP style
  • Proven understanding of print, broadcast, social media and influencer marketing
  • Excellent organizational skills: Fantastic skills in keeping a lot of information, dates, and files organized and quickly accessible
  • Knowledgeable in current social media and content creator/influencer trends
  • Ability to write interesting, effective and engaging copy, including press releases, blog posts, website, company-wide emails and social content
  • Ability to remain flexible and navigate cross-functional teams, tasks, and timelines
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
  • You have thick skin and are not overly attached to your ego. You’re focused on finding, developing, and executing the best ideas to get the best results

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The majority of the work involved in this position will be conducted from an office or other field office. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
