Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and category management of spend categories of assigned areas of spend/commodities, directed towards providing contracted services and/or materials for business operations.

This position will assist the company in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs to meet scope, schedule, and budget. You will negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry. In addition to managing our supply chain of distributors and manufacturers, it is also critical to efficiently manage and support our internal customers and stakeholders.

Success in this role will drive value creation through vendor consolidation and the use of market intelligence to drive cost savings, while delivering value to business groups through partnership and the centralization of sourcing and contract compliance functions to procurement specialists.

DUTIES:

  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies and plans to support the Strategic Sourcing process for assigned commodities/services in alignment with the internal client
  • Manage supply chain relationships and work directly with suppliers to identify additional cost savings through new programs or by expanding existing programs.
  • Negotiate vendor terms and manage vendor agreements from inception through the life of the contract.
  • Support internal customers and stakeholders with business needs and identify new opportunities for sourcing programs·
  • Provide category expertise to internal clients through spend analytics, market research and cost modeling. Research and develop a working knowledge of the assigned commodities/services or areas of responsibilities, including how the commodities/services are made, rendered, specification requirements, and how the commodities/services are used by the company.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and technology to establish cost models, identify opportunities for spend leverage and drive supplier negotiations
  • Analyzes responses to bid requests, points out commercial differences, and makes succinct recommendations in selecting appropriate suppliers for contract awards
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to lower the total cost of goods and services to enhance total enterprise cost of ownership; provide supply planning and analysis; and conduct supplier performance and relationship management
  • Ensure end user requirements are satisfied, develop change management activities, promote end user adoption, provide training, and monitor end user satisfaction and needs.
  • Ensure quality of supply of products and services, monitor the timeliness of the deliveries/performance, and identify patterns.
  • Actively monitor industry trends and best practices related to category assignments and incorporate them into category and execution plans.
  • Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures.
  • Must represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and professional behavior always, as dictated in the Associate's Handbook.
  • Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute the role to its full potential.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3-5 years supply chain/vendor management experience. Hospitality Industry experience a plus.
  • Experience in sourcing Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E), Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO), Construction and/or Food & Beverage (F&B) a plus.
  • Extensive experience in sourcing goods and services, category management. 
  • The following experience is highly desired:
    • F&B – services and equipment
    • OS&E – guest rooms and public areas
    • Property Operations – Resort and Corporate Facilities
    • MRO, Equipment and Supplies including tools, hardware, electronics, door locks, safes, plumbing fixtures, paint and chemicals
    • Service Agreements including pest control, waste management, elevator maintenance, contingent labor (3rd party), storage containers, air scenting
    • Print and Promotional Materials including key cards, logo’d F&B disposables, logo’d apparel, in-room collateral and uniforms
  • Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategies.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing internal customers, skilled at institutionalizing stakeholder communications for input and alignment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills up to the executive level and understanding of contractual negotiation, development, and law.
  • A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others.
  • Experience with ERP systems, spend analytics, eSourcing, and contract management systems required.
  • Builds within the enterprise a sourcing organization that is aligned and integrated with other business processes.
  • Must possess a good working knowledge and understanding of legal, risk and business implications of contract language.
  • Must be able to construct professionally written executive summaries which articulate, in summary fashion, the initiative supported by the acquisition, the strategy, negotiation highlights, inherent risks and benefits, and financial landscape of mid-complexity contracting efforts.
  • Coordinate service delivery by working cross-functionally and with Procurement Support/Service Providers. Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations.
