Operates or tend machinery equipped with scoops shovels or buckets to excavate and load loose materials

Responsible for maintaining proper erosion control and keeping retaining ponds clean.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

• Operates heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Store heavy equipment safely and securely.
• Maintain a clean and presentable workplace.
• Clean heavy equipment as scheduled.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on all equipment being used.
• Keep sediment ponds clean of silt and debris.
• Repair any issues that are found with erosion on property.
• Cleans facilities or work areas.
• Direct material handling or moving activities.
• Inspect material-moving equipment to detect problems.
• Maintain material moving equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain professional knowledge or certifications.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Be able to operate heavy equipment such as track hoe, skid steer, lull, and various types of manlifts.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a current Driver’s License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to partner with others and interact with guests in a courteous and customer service manner.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and coordinate with other departments to create activities and events on property.
• Proven ability to handle challenges effectively in regards to guest concerns to anticipate, prevent, identify and solve problems as necessary.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally items over 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must be comfortable with variable and outdoor weather conditions.
