Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Landscaping Manager to oversee all aspects of landscaping and grounds maintenance for our resort property. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing and preserving the natural beauty of our surroundings while ensuring the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

  • Implement and set up programs with or assisted by the Director of Engineering regarding the maintenance of the grounds in all areas
  • Lead and supervise a team of landscaping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Coordinate with resort management and other departments to prioritize landscaping projects and ensure timely completion within budgetary constraints
  • Maintain inventory of landscaping materials, tools, and equipment, and oversee procurement and maintenance activities
  • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with landscaping standards and safety regulations
  • Interpret policies to team members and enforce safety regulations
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Performs activities of workers supervised as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • CPO Certification
  • Horticultural Degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of prior management experience required
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce
  • Must have knowledge of Tennessee pest and diseases on turf and ornamental care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
