Join the Westgate Resorts team as the Corporate Director of Marketing for our national line up of award-winning restaurants, retail locations and luxury spas.   Westgate Resorts was founded in 1982 by David Siegel with a goal of establishing resorts in premiere travel destinations across the US.  Since its beginning it has grown from a 16-unit Kissimmee Florida resort into 27 unique vacation destinations.  You will be joining a team of over 10,000 strong all focused on creating vacation experiences that exceed all expectations.   Our resorts provide a diverse range of highly themed properties from sandy beaches, major theme park markets, snow covered Utah mountains and locations that are steeped in history.   Resorts are located in Orlando FL, Gatlinburg TN, Branson MO, Williamsburg VA, Myrtle Beach SC, Park City UT, New York City and include the legendary Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and more.  This position will be based at our Orlando corporate complex.

The Corporate Director of Marketing reports into the Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage and requires a strong integrated marketer with experience in brand building, business planning and strategic partner relations.  Collaborating cross functionally with central and field marketing teams, resort operational leadership, and external and internal creative and community partners.  It is critical this leader develops authentic connections, fosters integrated thinking, while managing stakeholder expectations across locations and functions.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead marketing activities for all Westgate Resort Food and Beverage, Retail and Spa locations.
  • Implement on property marketing programs to create greater awareness of all on property locations to drive greater penetration of that audience.
  • Conduct periodic resort visits to review all aspects of the resorts marketing efforts throughout the resort facilities.
  • Support the location operators and general managers for special events, holiday promotions, menus and signage.
  • Support new location openings with all required print collateral and signage requests.
  • Partner with the resort marketing coordinators and creative design to develop and implement marketing efforts across all resorts.
  • Coordinate with social media team and web teams to ensure that web sites and social media posts are current.
  • Support brand assessments and long-term brand building projects.
  • Monitor location web sites for accuracy and coordinates updates with the resort locations.
  • Perform regional and individual resort analysis to maintain deep understanding of business drivers and brand health.
  • Implement near term optimizations based on business results, creative performance and market dynamics.
  • Monitor social media scores to identify opportunities with Open Table, Yelp, Trip Advisor and others.
  • Oversee and deliver upon individual location plans with impactful market strategies.
  • Demonstrate a passion and detailed understanding of brand position and guidelines.
  • Coordinate marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
  • Analyze customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing accounts.
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results.
  • Monitor industry best practices and trends.
  • Manage and implement campaigns, initiatives and programs on a national scale.
  • Work with partners and F&B/Retail and Spa locations for campaigns and promotions.
  • Manage, lead and evolve the creative calendar in conjunction with the product calendar to ensure the process is rooted in sound consumer insights and supports our overall business strategy.
  • Responsible for the development of marketing strategies and activation plans that will 1) drive sustainable traffic growth, 2) grow awareness of and consideration for Westgate.
  • Ensure new restaurant opening plans are successfully introduced and marketed.
  • Responsible for enforcing brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team to implement system campaigns and programs & leverage customer insights to develop effective marketing plans.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in leading and implementing marketing programs for Food and Beverage operations; Spa and Retail operations is a plus
  • 7+ years’ experience working in a fast paced, high-pressure environment within the Hospitality industry
  • Must have extensive experience working closely with internal and external marketing teams implementing campaigns and programs based on customer insights
  • Experience with successfully marketing new restaurant openings while ensuring brand standards are met
  • Designing Culinary and Alcoholic Beverage programs with proven ability to drive increased penetration, revenue growth and profitability and improved service levels

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Hospitality Management preferred but not required
  • Bachelor in Food and Beverage Studies or Food and Beverage Management Certificate
