Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Mentor Resort and Ranch General Manager to ensure successful operation of the resorts; establishing short-term and long-range goals to aid in the achievement of the property’s defined performance metrics
  • Work with leadership team to develop annual budgets / Capital Plans to accurately forecast financial performance and to deliver financial results in accordance with those budgets, analyzing budget requests and past P&L variance to identify areas in which reductions and/or allocations can be made, assigning action plans where needed
  • Lead all F&B and Retail operations, including food quality, service standards, financials, restaurant operations, and banquet events.
  • Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining resorts product and service quality standards
  • Critically analyze all metrics including, but not limited to: Medallia, Quality Assurance Inspections, Financial Reports/Audits, Team Member Climate Surveys, Turnover
  • Provide regular and effective updates to the Vice Presidents of Resort Operations on the performance of the resorts and the Leaders in the region
  • Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals
  • Reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations as required.
  • Actively participates in all meetings as assigned by the Vice Presidents of Resort Operations
  • Protects the resorts and their assets through enforcing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs
  • Create an atmosphere of positive employee/management relations in which employees are willing and able to maximize their potential
  • Effectively monitor and actively participate in the customer service efforts of the resort
  • Oversee that all employees receive orientation, training and resources necessary to ensure employee effectiveness and continued development
  • Oversees the physical appearance of the property
  • Manage demand, forecasting and inventory as it relates to driving revenue opportunity for the resort
  • Strong understanding of group and transient sales process and forecasting process
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Oversee training and development of personnel
  • Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
  • Ensures resorts management are in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage and Hour and Health laws
  • Promotes the organization in industry or trade associations
  • Manage time and projects effectively to produce a desired result in view of available resources
  • Provide a professional image at all times through appearance, dress and professional behavior  
  • Promote CFI/Westgate Resorts’ philosophies throughout the region to both team members and guests
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of ten (10+) years of combined hotel/resort experience
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years executive management level experience in hotel/resort environment
  • Experience in planning and budgeting Must possess operational experience and a comprehensive understanding of Housekeeping, Front Desk, Engineering, Leadership & Development, Casino/Gaming, and Food & Beverage
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with a concentration in business, finance, or hospitality management.  Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and functions well in an entrepreneurial fast-growing environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and evidenced track record of driving improved operational performance and business growth and optimization
  • Strong and proven ability to analyze and interpret data to make sound decisions
  • Solid planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and assimilate and interpret new information quickly
  • Demonstrated experience to organize and conduct formal meetings
  • Capable of explaining complex issues in a concise manner
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team
