Job Description

The Westgate Mortgage Reporting and Analytics team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the management of the Company’s funding processes and securitization efforts. We are looking for a top performer candidate with two to three years of experience in their post collegiate career. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel, self-starting, and critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and experience reading/writing SQL code (preferably T-SQL).

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with strong business acumen, data, and technical skills. They will develop a deep understanding of collateral management, securitizations, and our data structure. The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate success in taking ownership of the funding processes and becoming a subject matter expert.

60% of this role will be reporting, ad hoc analysis, and strategic support for our securitization and warehouse lines. 40% of the role will include ad hoc analysis and projects supporting the mortgage portfolio. This individual will become a key subject matter expert on the various term deals and lender lines along with a deep understanding of how to operate these facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Securitizations (Existing): EOM reporting, projections, deal management (triggers; collateral management), ad hoc and admin support
  • Securitizations (New): Pool cut selections, projections, document review, manage deal execution, prepare support schedules, lender post securitization Pro Formas
  • Warehouse Lines: Prepare EOM reporting, borrowing base certificates and advance requests; portfolio management (trigger and collateral management), loan agreement/amendment review, lender correspondence, coordinate annual audits, ad hoc and admin support
  • Deeding: manage deed selections & provide bond support (projections)
  • Ad Hoc analysis and other special purpose projects supporting the mortgage admin group and other teams

Qualifications

  • Self-starter with strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, ability to deal with ambiguity, and work successfully and effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Strong experience using Excel to develop/maintain financial models; deep experience leveraging a variety of analytical techniques for solving problems and drawing conclusions
  • Strong experience working directly with data; the role will require the ability to proficiently read and write native SQL
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and possess a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Ability to communicate complex and often ambiguous information into a simple and clear story
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior leaders, groups of managers, and other internal business partners
  • Excellent business correspondence skills

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, finance, engineering or a related field
  • Two to three years of experience in financial roles with experience in operations, planning, and analysis
  • Experience in a large public or private company or large public accounting firm
  • Experience with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate complex and often ambiguous information into a simple and clear story. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior leaders, groups of managers, and other internal business partners. Excellent business correspondence skills.
