Job Description

The Digital Media Specialist role focuses assisting the digital department with tasks related to planning, programming, design and execution. The role is also collaborating in analysis for managers and directors, as assigned.

This position will work with directors and managers for all branding, digital marketing and eCommerce activities, working cooperatively with all other team members to achieve and exceed the company’s financial goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly reports from PPC and/but not limited to SEO, Social, etc and recording Action Plans with directors’ guidance.
  • Assists the PPC team with review and reporting of Google Analytics and similar tools to communicate department results, programs and offers.
  • Monitors the use of corporate e-Tools on behalf of hotels.
  • Facilitate and align projects, guidelines and initiatives.
  • Audits use of paid social, organic social, and any other distribution outlets to grow online calls, leads, volume in line with sales and digital department goals.
  • Track multiple monthly email campaigns or assigned projects.
  • Provide company with digital support, education and recommendations through specific assigned tasks. Analyzes, interprets, and make basic recommendations based on gathered data, in the form of proposals and/or presentations to upper management.
  • Coordinates in conjunction with designated team (or contracted services) as needed for collateral, communications, photography, direct mail, video, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring digital marketing to include site(s) web content; basic search engine optimization; reputation management with customer service; e-mail marketing; pay-per clicks, etc.
  • Audit websites, social media profiles/pages, Online Directories, Local Search, GMB and Social Media outlets.
  • Stay up to date with Digital Marketing trends and methodologies.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Digital Marketing or above.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • 1 year of Internet Marketing or eCommerce experience in hospitality/travel industry or related field
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Hospitality or Hospitality Marketing a plus
  • Content management and web analytics experience a plus
  • Hotel/Hospitality experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong time management skills required
  • Understanding of traditional and online marketing tactics and strategy
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
