Job Description

The Paid Media Specialist is responsible all aspects of paid media from strategy development, implementation, optimization, reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage all detailed aspects of day-to-day paid media campaign activities. This individual should possess a great depth of tactical knowledge in paid media services. In addition, they will be required to conduct complex analyses on website usage and marketing campaigns, perform landing page, A/B and multivariate testing. The successful candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and work successfully in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Plan and Manage paid search campaigns using Google, Bing, Facebook, and others.
  • Develop and provide daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates on the status of the online search campaigns and the resulting lead generation
  • Conduct keyword research, improve click-through rates and quality score, write, optimize and test ad copy, and optimize conversions
  • Conduct daily and weekly SEM optimization exercises that include bid management, ad creative testing, and keyword expansions.
  • Ensure spend for PPC campaigns remains within allocated budget while maintaining maximum conversion and click-thru rates
  • Analyze and incorporate sales data to ensure campaigns are targeting appropriate services and products
  • Continuously identify areas on website to optimize for increased organic search results and conversion
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of web metrics (visits, page views, search engines, keywords) and media data, and incorporate the data into excel reports and Salesforce.com dashboards
  • Effectively monitor social media properties and communicate with participants while incorporating best practices across channels
  • Integrate the organic search results into the paid search strategy in order to improve ROI of overall search effort
  • Identify trends and selling opportunities and work with senior staff to realize additional revenue
  • Daily review of online campaign results to ensure that conversions and resulting revenue are tracking in CRM properly
  • Solicit and gather feedback from Sales on distributed leads with regard to quality, potential, and status
  • Continuously inform social media on effective campaigns and strategy
  • Coordinate and lead cross-departmental efforts and resources to ensure marketing properties are current and accurate
  • Establish KPI's at the campaign and channel level.
  • Act as a resource to other team members
  • Establish initial contact with new leads to validate requests and business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Familiarity and thorough understanding of SEM strategy and concepts.
  • Complete and thorough understanding of Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Bing Ads, including keyword development, account setup, ad creation, content network, match types, quality score, negative keywords, conversion rates, goal set up, etc.
  • Ability to strategically manage A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Understanding of content optimization
  • Complete and thorough understanding of Google re-marketing.
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other Social media platforms
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices, strategies and latest developments in paid and organic search
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Curiosity and desire to experiment
  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Drive to take initiative
  • Desire to help others succeed

The following are preferred but not required:

  • HTML, CSS
  • Wordpress
  • Email marketing knowledge
     

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should have at least three years of hands-on experience in online marketing with a heavy focus on paid search management.
     

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Google certifications a plus
