Job Description

The Generalist supports the Team Member Services Department in all facets of Team Member Services Operations and related activities by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruiting and employment process including applicant sourcing/developing candidate pool, pre-employment assessments for prospective hires and transfers, applicant tracking solution, reporting, onboarding, pre-screening, new-hire orientation, and other processes.
  • Communicate with hiring managers regarding positions to fill.
  • Periodic travel to other sites to facilitate recruiting and address team member issues (<25%).
  • Provide day-to-day generalist support to assigned location(s).
  • Recommend and implement approved recruiting strategies proactively.
  • Coordinate internships and international recruiting as needed
  • Provide counsel and support to management staff in team member relations issues.
  • Conduct new team member orientation and facilitate the delivery of leadership programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct new-hire onboarding annual all-team member training in January of each year.
  • Conduct team member relations investigations using WG guidelines and facilities for effective resolution.
  • Prepare CFI Summary Report Investigations for attorneys via Corporate reporting protocol.
  • Assist Corporate office and attorneys with reply to requests from EEOC, Wage and Hour, attorneys, etc.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Handles team member/manager concerns/questions regarding benefits, payroll, vacation/sick time, leaves of absence, & administrative/clerical duties related to Team Member Services administration.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation to comply with Team Member Services' operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in the unemployment process.
  • Coordinate and follow up on Worker's Compensation matters.
  • Coordinates/facilitates Westgate Foundation events and onsite assistance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provides work direction to Team Member Services Representative/Coordinator where appropriate.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.); PHR, SPHR certification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of Team Member Services Generalist or Manager experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
